Head Brewer – Altitude Chophouse & Brewery

Altitude is hiring an experienced brewer to spearhead our award winning brewery. Our ideal candidate will have experience as a head brewer, thrive in an independent brewing setting, display a passion for craft beer and have solid knowledge of the technical aspects of brewing and maintaining a brewery. 

Altitude has been serving the Laramie community for nearly 26 years. Over the years, we've enjoyed winning various awards for our beers, including two gold medals at the World Beer Cup. Laramie is conveniently located just two hours north of Denver, Colorado and is the home of the University of Wyoming.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Oversee all brewing operations
• Inventory, order and manage product
• Create new recipes
• Maintain sanitation and safety protocols
• Perform equipment maintenance
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations

Requirements:

• 2+ years of professional brewing experience as a head brewer
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Ability to work independently and to lead an assistant brewer
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation protocols. 
• Ability to communicate with staff and to participate in beer training. 
• Willingness to interact with clientele on a regular basis. 
• Creative and forward thinking. 

Brewery Location:

Laramie, Wyoming

Compensation: 

$50,000 - $60,000. Benefits available, including health and vision insurance, IRA and PTO.
