We are seeking an experienced and passionate Taproom Manager to join our founding team at Eden Town Brewing Company. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Eden Town taproom. This includes staff hiring and training, guest experience, events, inventory, scheduling, and ensuring that the taproom reflects the company’s culture, standards, and love of craft beer.

Key Responsibilities:

Taproom Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the taproom with a hands-on presence to ensure smooth and efficient service. 

  • Ensure an exceptional guest experience rooted in hospitality and product knowledge
  • Address customer inquiries and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the taproom
  • Oversee draft system cleanliness and proper beer handling
  • Manage POS system and ensure accurate cash handling procedures

Leadership and Team Management: Hire, train, and lead a high-performing taproom team.

  • Set service standards and ensure staff accountability through regular coaching
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented culture
  • Manage performance reviews, development, and staff retention efforts 

Events and Community Engagement: Plan, coordinate, and execute events and special programming. 

  • Work with the marketing team to promote events and specials through social media, email, and other channels. 
  • Develop partnerships with local businesses and organizations for joint events and promotions.
  • Represent Eden Town at festivals and offsite events as needed

Inventory and Reporting: Monitor and manage taproom inventory related to beer, merchandise, and supplies. 

  • Coordinate with production staff for beer availability and keg transfers
  • Perform regular inventory counts and ensure accurate reporting
  • Analyze taproom metrics and report to ownership on performance, costs, and opportunities

Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to alcohol service and health and safety standards. 

Train staff on responsible alcohol service (TIPS certification preferred)

  • Develop and enforce SOPs for taproom operations 
  • Maintain proper documentation and records as required by law 
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and staff training to ensure a safe environment for customers and employees

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or craft brewing industry
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a solid understanding of craft beer
  • Working knowledge of beer styles, draft systems, and craft beer culture
  • Familiarity with POS systems (Square, Toast, etc.), inventory tools, and scheduling software
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.
  • TIPS or similar alcohol service certification preferred.
