Position Overview
The Brewery Team position is a full-time, skilled role responsible for all aspects of craft beer production, from hot- and cold-side brewing to packaging. You’ll work with minimal supervision, maintaining an unwavering focus on quality and consistency, and solving problems systematically during daily operations.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform daily brewing duties including, but not limited to: CIP, malt milling, brewhouse operation, wort transfers, yeast pitching, fermentation monitoring, beer packaging, and general cleaning.
- Produce wort according to SOPs, hitting targets for gravity, IBU, color, and volume.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in brewhouse, malt room, silo area, cooler, and all brewing spaces.
- Operate forklifts and other production equipment as directed (training provided).
- Work safely with chemicals, adhering to all safety standards and referencing MSDS sheets as needed.
- Communicate effectively with cross-departmental teams, providing all pertinent batch-related information at shift changeovers.
- Follow all environmental and safety regulations, company policies, and ethical business practices.
- Assist Sales & Distribution with loading/unloading delivery and event trucks.
- Participate occasionally in community and craft beer events.
Requirements
- We prefer at least 1 year of professional brewing experience, but we will make an exception for the right person.
- Ability to frequently lift 55 lbs. and safely move full kegs (160 lbs.).
- Ability to reach, twist, stoop, crouch, stand, and walk for 8–10 hour shifts.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to work independently.
- Positive attitude and commitment to continual learning and improvement.
Schedule
- Full-time, 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday (occasional events outside standard hours).
