Four Daughters Vineyard and Winery, Loon Juice, and The Traditionalist Bourbon is seeking an intern for our 2025 Harvest Team. We grow cold hardy grapes and work with various varieties from around the Midwest as well as traditional vinifera from CA. We are a small team so you will be exposed to all aspects of harvest and get a very well-rounded experience. You will have opportunities to assist with cider making and our bourbon program as well. Seeking someone hardworking, organized, and attention to detail. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for wine and are excited to learn more about the process.
This is a paid, full time, seasonal position, lasting from Late August to November.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Cleaning tanks and equipment
· Grape receiving and processing
· Fermentation Additions
· Perform other duties as assigned
· Rackings and transfers of juice and wine
· Red fermentation management
· Forklift Operation
· Canning line assistance
Qualifications:
***We are happy to train the right beginner, but you must have the following:
· Passion for cleaning and learning about beverage production
· Ability to perform the physical labor necessary: Must be capable of walking, climbing a ladder and stairs, as well as being able to bend down and crawl under things in order to clean.
· Good reading, writing, and math skills
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Fluent in English or as a second language
· Reliable transportation, housing and alarm clock
· Legal to work in US, or able to take care of your visa yourself
· A positive attitude
· Must be available to work overtime and weekends as needed
· Experience with forklift operation a plus
Hourly Rate $18-$20/hr and based on experience
