We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Packaging Manager to lead our packaging operations and ensure our cider reaches customers in perfect condition!
??? Job Summary
The Packaging Manager oversees all aspects of packaging operations, including managing the packaging team, operating and maintaining the canning line, and coordinating with the cellar team to align production schedules. This role is ideal for someone who combines mechanical aptitude with strong leadership and organizational skills.
?? Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Supervise and train packaging operators, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork
- Schedule and delegate daily tasks to ensure smooth packaging operations
- Collaborate closely with the cellar team to plan packaging timelines and ensure product readiness
- CIP, Kegging, Cider Transfers, Building packaging materials.
Packaging Operations
- Operate and oversee the canning line, ensuring consistent quality and minimal downtime
- Monitor packaging quality control, including fill levels, seam integrity, and labeling accuracy
- Maintain accurate records of packaged volumes, batch tracking, and inventory
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on packaging equipment
- Coordinate with vendors and service technicians for repairs and upgrades
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe packaging area
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure packaging operations comply with safety standards and workplace safety regulations
- Conduct regular safety training and equipment checks
?? Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in beverage packaging or production, preferably in craft beer, cider, or wine
- Strong mechanical skills and familiarity with canning line equipment
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Forklift certification a plus
