We are looking for a Sales Operations Coordinator to join our team and support the critical connection between our sales team, distributor partners, production crew, and retail chain accounts. This role will play a key part in helping Maplewood scale efficiently while maintaining operational excellence and brand integrity in the marketplace.
Position Summary
The Sales Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing the behind-the-scenes processes that enable our sales team and distributor partners to thrive. This includes overseeing distributor item and inventory management, coordinating product orders and chain resets, and equipping the sales team with data insights that drive smart decision-making. This is a strategic, detail-oriented role for someone who thrives on cross-functional collaboration, systems thinking, and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all item and product information internally utilizing VIP, and across distributor and chain portals.
- Coordinate distributor purchase orders and shipping schedules, including invoice and credit support.
- Monitor finished goods inventory across all distributor warehouses to maintain optimal stock levels and product quality.
- Lead and support chain reset cycles including planogram development, presentation content, and distributor coordination.
- Oversee merchandising needs at key accounts and ensure promotional materials and displays are executed in-market.
- Develop and manage chain account programming with internal teams and distributor partners, tracking execution and performance.
- Create and maintain sales reports, dashboards, and performance summaries using VIP and internal sales data.
- Provide sales team with custom insights, tools, and territory-specific reporting to support their field execution.
- Participate in key in-market activities such as distributor crew drives, ride-alongs, and account merchandising.
- Collaborate across internal departments to identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and workflows.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, distribution, or supply chain operations, preferably in the alcohol beverage industry.
- Strong familiarity with distributor systems (VIP, SRS, KARMA, iDIG) and chain retail processes.
- Experience working with grocery, liquor, or convenience store chain accounts is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset and high proficiency in Excel/Sheets and reporting tools.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple timelines and partners at once.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-starter who works well independently but thrives in a team-based, collaborative culture.
- Passion for craft beer and spirits, with a working knowledge of the industry landscape.
