SALES REPRESENTATIVE


We are currently hiring a full-time Sales Representative. The role of the Sales Representative is to purvey the sheer joy and beauty that is Fremont Brewing, Pike Brewing, and Lost Lake Cider. This position will be primarily responsible for expanding on and off premise business for the Pike Brewing and Lost Lake Cider. The position is based in Seattle covering primarily the Seattle Metro area but will occasionally make account calls in Everett and Tacoma. This Sales Representative job takes place in the trade 90% of the work week and will report to the Sales Director. This role is designated non-exempt salary, so it is eligible for overtime pay. Candidates will be expected to balance their schedule around a 40-hour work week by shifting hours as needed to cover account calls, travel time, and evening events. The core schedule will be Tuesday-Friday 9am-7pm.

Job Responsibilities & Expectations

·      Spends 90% of time in the trade, conducting sales calls to obtain and increase business for Pike Brewing and Lost Lake Cider within designated territory

·      Aggressively pursue new distribution by visiting 10+ accounts (on and off premise) per day completing the following:

o  Develop new relationships, sample, and sell to new accounts

o  Maintain and grow existing accounts through service and relationship development

o  Develop and execute account and market-specific sales strategies

o  Educate both new and existing accounts about new beers/ciders and seasonal releases

·      Manage schedule to not exceed 40 hours per week unless necessary

·      Plan and execute on-premise events

·      Deliver draft and package product to accounts as needed

·      Keep thorough records of all account visits through the VIP KARMA app and provide internal and external recaps weekly

·      Work closely with other members of the Fremont sales and marketing team and be prepared to occasionally assist other members with tasks outside daily duties

·      Become certified beer server (training paid for by Fremont/Pike/Lost Lake) within first 3 months of employment


Work Closely with Fremont/Pike/Lost Lake Distribution Partners

·      Develop strong relationships with distributor reps through market support, ride-withs and brand education

·      Execute growth goals for territory outlined by the Sales Director

·      Educate distributor sales teams on all things Pike and Lost Lake

·      Work with distributors to manage beer/cider quality issues in the market

·      Monitor OOC beer/cider and have distributors pull when needed

·      Understand craft beer/cider landscape and competing brands/distributors


Required Skills & Experience

·      3+ years’ experience in craft beer/cider sales

·      Strong knowledge of the Seattle market

·      Strong knowledge of Off Premise selling is preferred

·      Must live in or near primary territory (Seattle)

·      Must be able to travel to Everett and Tacoma to conduct sales calls, attend meetings, and run events monthly

·      Team player that supports others within the sales team and assists with projects outside of normal duties if required

·      General sense of awesomeness

·      Effective time management and sales call planning with little to no daily oversight – an organized self-starter

·      Ability to work nights and weekends for events

·      A passion for craft beer and cider and working in a team-oriented environment

·      Valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle to use for work-related purposes

·      Must be 21 years of age

Physical Requirements

·      Ability to stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours)

·      Ability to move heavy materials (lifting up to 55 pounds, moving up to 160 pounds)

·      Ability to work in hot and cold environments
