The Head of Sales will own and execute the national sales strategy for Drekker. This role is perfect for a highly driven, strategic thinker who can lead a team, build deep relationships across the industry, and scale an ambitious craft brewery with a bold voice and a national vision. This is a senior leadership role with high visibility, cross-functional collaboration, and significant influence on the future direction of the business.
Schedule: This is a full time position that requires flexibility and travel. Travel regularly to work with distributors, attend events, support your team, and keep a pulse on each market.

Core Responsibilities:
National Sales Strategy & Execution
- Lead the development and execution of Drekker’s national sales strategy across all channels and markets, with a focus on scaling the company and expanding market presence
- Set clear goals, priorities, and performance metrics for the sales team
- Align sales efforts with broader business goals, brand identity, and production capacity
- Monitor and adapt to market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive activity
Distributor Relationship Management
- Manage a national network of distributor partners — from selection and onboarding to performance management and accountability
- Build and lead incentive programs, execution standards, and joint business plans
- Facilitate distributor meetings, planning sessions, and regular market visits
Key Account Development
- Grow Drekker’s presence in chain retail, on-premise, and independent accounts nationwide
- Personally manage strategic national and regional buyers while coaching team members to do the same
- Partner with marketing to align brand messaging and POS execution at retail
Sales Operations & Systems
- Lead the implementation and daily management of sales systems: CRM, forecasting, pricing architecture, reporting, and budget planning
- Ensure the team is using tools effectively and insights are turned into action
- Build and refine scalable systems as the company and team grow
Market Expansion & Growth Planning
- Identify whitespace and high-potential markets for growth — both domestic and (if applicable) international
- Develop go-to-market strategies in new regions and ensure successful launches
- Work cross-functionally with production, marketing, and leadership to align expansion with supply, brand, and operational readiness
- Travel regularly to work with team members in the field, meet with key accounts, visit distributors, and attend events
- Build a high-performing, passionate sales team — hiring, coaching, motivating, and retaining top talent
- Serve as a cultural leader and brand steward in the trade
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5–8+ years of sales experience, preferably in craft beer, beverage, or CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods)
- 3+ years in sales leadership roles, with demonstrated ability to lead and grow a sales team
- Experience with distributor networks and three-tier systems
- Proven success in scaling wholesale and direct-to-consumer sales strategies to support company growth and market expansion
Industry Knowledge
- Deep understanding of the craft beer industry, trends, competitive landscape, and customer profiles
- Knowledge of state and federal alcohol regulations affecting sales and distribution
- Strong relationships with regional/national distributors, retailers, and key accounts is a major plus
Leadership & Strategic Skills
- Track record of developing strategic sales plans and achieving growth targets
- Ability to lead, inspire, and manage a team of sales reps and account managers
- Skilled in data analysis and using metrics to drive decisions
- Comfortable working collaboratively with marketing, operations, and production teams
- Experience launching and scaling new products/brands to market
Sales & Communication Skills
