Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence in regional and national retail chains
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including major retail chains, distributors, and wholesalers
- Drive sales growth by identifying new opportunities, and securing new business within regional and national chains
- Analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and innovation
- Work closely with the sales, marketing, and production teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and product launches
- While ability to work in a team is essential, large portions of your time will be spent working independently
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management, distributors, and chains
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and chain requirements
The ideal candidate:
- Have experience working with regional grocery and beverage chains covering the Eastern US. Experience with national chain and grocery preferred but not required
- Prior experience in sales and chain account management within the beverage industry, preferably in the beer sector
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- In-depth understanding of the beer market, retail chain operations, and industry trends
- Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to develop effective strategies.
- Equipped to take video conferences and meetings
- Willingness to travel if necessary to meet with clients and attend industry events
- Based in Ewing or the NJ area, but the position can be remote with limited travel if necessary
Tools & Software:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. An equivalent skillset in Apple, Google or a similar suite also acceptable
- Familiarity with retailer-specific portals, such as Walmart’s Live Aisle and other chain-specific systems, for managing product listings, inventory, and orders
- Experience with VIP (Vermont Information Processing) for sales analytics and reporting, including item setup and validation. Familiarity with Nielsen data for scan data and market analysis in chain stores preferred but not required
