Cerebral Brewing is an award-winning craft brewery with locations in the heart of Congress Park and the Highlands of Denver and the Arts District of Aurora, Colorado. Our goal is to combine scientific methodology with an artistic viewpoint to create extremely drinkable beers spanning a broad spectrum of styles – including Foeder-Fermented Lagers, New England-inspired IPAs and Barrel Aged Stouts.

Job Overview:
Cerebral Brewing is looking to add a talented and motivated Brewer to our team to further the growth of our nationally recognized and award winning brand. Brewers are responsible for day-to-day operations in the Brewhouse and Cellar, including wort and beer production, barrel aging, dry hopping and sanitation. This position is for our Aurora Arts location but may require occasional shifts at our Congress Park location.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all quality related record keeping and compliance documentation
- Assessment, organization, management, and inventory of raw materials
- Production of specified wort with attention to detail and world-class manufacturing techniques
- Filling, emptying, and sampling barrels as needed for special projects
- Collaboration and creative ideation of new products and modification of existing projects
- Low-oxygen transfers, carbonation monitoring, and True-to-Brand assessment
- Packaging of brite and still beer in kegs, bottles, and cans
- Cleaning of FVs, BTs, and Brewhouse using industry best practices
Qualifications:
- We are a small team of dedicated beer professionals - a positive attitude is a must
- Minimum 2 years of relevant brewing experience
- Brewing-related certification or degree preferred
- Close attention to detail
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to problem solve on the fly
- Ability to work unsupervised while maintaining safety and quality standards
- Self-motivated with good time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple processes at one time
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members throughout the brewery
- Availability to work nights and weekends
- Maintain and manage safe working practices, including chemical handling, use of PPE, etc
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move 55lb bags of grain and move 165lb kegs
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, stoop, crawl, twist, turn, lift, kneel and climb ladders/stairs
- Ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift and pallet jack (forklift training available)

- $22-24/hr - adjusted based on experience and performance
