We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Brewer to join our founding team at Eden Town Brewing Company. This position will oversee all aspects of brewing operations—from recipe development and raw material procurement to brewing, fermentation, packaging, and quality control. Key Responsibilities:


  • Brewing Operations: Oversee all aspects of the brewing process, from grain to glass, ensuring adherence to recipes and production schedules.
  • Lead all aspects of wort production, fermentation, cellar operations, and packaging
  • Manage raw materials, inventory, and brewing schedules
  • Possess mechanical aptitude to oversee and ensure proper maintenance of brewing equipment and troubleshoot any operational issues.
  • Maintain records related to production
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all brewing equipment and brewery spaces
  • Quality Control: Implement and manage quality control procedures to maintain the highest standards of beer quality and consistency.
  • Develop and refine SOPs, ensuring consistency and quality across all production
  • Monitor and improve beer quality across all production stages
  • Conduct regular sensory analysis and lab testing
  • Implement QA/QC protocols and data tracking
  • Maintain set of QA/QC records
  • Recipe Development: Innovate and develop new beer recipes that align with our brand and customer preferences.
  • Collaborate with ownership and the taproom team to create and refine beer recipes
  • Stay current on brewing trends and experiment with new ingredients and styles
  • Collaborate with ownership and the taproom team to create to develop a beyond beer beverage menu that meets customer demand
  • Inventory Management: Manage raw materials and supplies inventory, ensuring timely ordering and cost control.
  • Manage inventory management software
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal taxes and regulations related to brewing and safety.
  • Team Leadership: As the brewery grows, the head brewer will be responsible for training, supervising, and mentoring brewing staff.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of commercial brewing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Education: Degree in Brewing Science, Fermentation Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of brewing processes, quality control, and recipe development. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
