Now sold in 20+ states, we seek experienced and results-driven sales leaders to continue bringing THC-beverages to new consumers, retailers, and distributors across the country.
Position Overview: The State Sales Manager will own the business in their state. Responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan, increasing brand awareness, and developing strong relationships with your wholesale network to establish and maintain status as a preferred supplier. As your territory grows, you will expand your team with Field Sales Representatives and Brand Ambassadors to maximize market share. This role reports directly to our Director of Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Distributor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with beer wholesalers, ensuring alignment on sales objectives, inventory levels, and marketing strategies.
- Sales Strategy Development & Execution: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to maximize revenue growth and market penetration.
- Retail Account Development: Work closely with wholesalers to expand placement in key on-premise and off-premise accounts, including bars, restaurants, and retail stores.
- Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging existing networks and industry knowledge.
- Training & Education: Provide ongoing product training, compliance education, and sales support to distributor teams and retail partners.
- Brand Activation: Partner with marketing teams to coordinate promotional events, product samplings, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all sales and marketing activities align with state-specific cannabis regulations.
- Performance Tracking: Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive insights to optimize sales strategies and report on key performance metrics.
- People Management: Assist Field Marketing in recruiting, training, and supervising your team of Brand Ambassadors. As your market grows, recruit, train, and manage local Field Sales Reps to grow your business.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ Years of Excellence in Brewery or Distributor Sales/Sales Management. Must have excellent working knowledge and demonstrate skills relating to Distributor process, National Accounts, achieving results, market analytics, inventory management, market trends, retail execution, forecasting, and budgeting.
