Wild State Cider is Minnesota’s largest cidery — and we didn’t get here by following the rules. We don’t come from the traditional beverage or alcohol world, and honestly, we think that’s a good thing. It means we’re not afraid to try new things, question outdated norms, and build something better. We make clean, fruit-forward cider with no added sugar, concentrates, or artificial shortcuts.


Our sister brand, Birdie, is a sparkling THC-infused beverage for people who want to relax without alcohol. It’s non-alc, balanced, and catching on fast in a booming category.


Together, we’re growing two distinct beverage brands with national potential. We’re looking for someone to lead our sales efforts — someone who knows how to scale a brand, isn’t stuck in old-school playbooks, and can bring fresh thinking to a fast-moving team.


What You’ll Do


·      Own the national sales strategy for both Wild State and Birdie — including planning, execution, and prioritization across channels and markets.

·      Hire, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team — you’ll set expectations, drive accountability, and build a team culture that wins without ego.

·      Grow and manage distributor relationships — including selection, performance management, incentives, and execution.

·      Develop and expand key account relationships in retail, chain, and on-premise channels — both directly and by supporting your team.

·      Collaborate across departments — especially with marketing and leadership — to align brand messaging, promotions, and product launches with sales goals.

·      Implement and maintain sales systems — forecasting, CRM, reporting, pricing models, and the other tools that keep a team sharp.

·      Drive market expansion — identify growth opportunities, develop regional plans, and ensure both brands are positioned to scale.

·      Represent the sales perspective at the leadership level, helping shape company strategy, innovation, and direction.

·      Stay engaged in the field — travel regularly to work with distributors, attend events, support your team, and keep a pulse on what’s working.

·      Take initiative, solve problems, and deliver results — we’re moving fast, and we need someone who leads from the front.


What We’re Looking For


·      You’ve scaled a beverage brand beyond 20,000 BBLs — not just contributed, but led.

·      7+ years in beverage sales — alcohol, THC, non-alc — we’re open, as long as you've delivered.

·      Strong relationships with distributors and key accounts, and you know how to leverage them.

·      Proven experience hiring, developing, and leading a sales team.

·      Strong command of pricing strategy, margin management, and how to work the three-tier system.

·      Excellent communicator and collaborator — with internal teams, customers, and distributors alike.

·      You’re organized, self-driven, and thrive in a fast-paced, growing company.

·      You take ownership and get results — without drama.
