Overview
The Key Account Manager is responsible for growing distribution and sales, as well as monitoring service of products and implementing plans with regional and national accounts to achieve these objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for increasing sales and distribution for national and regional accounts in Sarene’s 7 state footprint.
- Create presentations and use statistical analysis effectively to demonstrate product value
- Establish and maintain relationships with regional and national buyers
- Monitor and implement pricing, merchandising, and competitive activity
- Review and monitor national and regional programs to ensure: accurate product pricing, effective discount management, and management of program deadlines
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability, replenishment, and distribution and conduct spot checks on inventory and monthly pricing report
- Manage merchandising team / coordinate efforts of hybrid sales reps to ensure maximization of placements
- Track sales dollars and cases
- Identify short and long account opportunities and create plans to leverage products and relationships
- Monitor effectiveness of programming and promotions
- Provide monthly reports to VP of Sales
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Additional Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five years of relevant experience
- Possess a valid driver license and have a willingness for occasional travel
