Pure Madness Group, the largest brewery group in Wyoming, is seeking a brewer for its Roadhouse Brewing Company operation located in Jackson, WY.

Position Mission: Successfully contribute to the growth of Roadhouse Brewing Company through excellence in brewing. Use a continuous improvement approach to brewing at the Roadhouse production facility and on the Roadhouse pilot system at our brewpub location.


Overview: This role creates the juice that is the soul of our company’s identity. This position is primarily responsible for beer brewing, cellaring operations and maintenance tasks as well as working closely with the Brewmaster and quality assurance manager to ensure specification and quality standards are met. This position should exhibit and support a high-performance work ethic and maintain a culture of accountability and respect. 


Key Results:


Brewing and Cellar Operations:

  • Follow brewery SOPS for brewing, chemical use, cellaring and conditioning.
  • Brew commercial batches of beer on large and small scales.
  • Brew specialty one-off beers of your own design on the pilot system. 
  • Operate cellar equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment – CIP and general cleaning tasks.
  • Perform maintenance on tanks, pumps and brew and auger systems.
  • Operate the centrifuge and HopGun.
  • Monitor gravities, off-flavors and fermentations.
  • Continually focus on process improvements and beer quality improvements.


Growth:

  • Support growth in in-house brewing operations through accurate fermentation, yeast health monitoring and adherence to the brewing schedule.
  • Work closely with the brew, quality and packaging teams.


Administrative:

  • Report needs to the Brewery Manager as they arise, including concerns with products, equipment maintenance and staffing.
  • Monthly operation and safety meetings attended.

Core Requirements:


Brewing Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional brewing experience in a production brewery setting.
  • Proven track record of consistent, high-quality beer production.
  • In-depth understanding of the entire brewing process, from raw material handling to finished product.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move 55+ pounds repeatedly.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, and wet environments.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and climb.


Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of brewing equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in cleaning and sanitizing brewing equipment.
  • Understanding of yeast handling and fermentation management.
  • Ability to perform quality control checks and maintain accurate records.
  • Knowledge of CIP procedures.


Education/Certifications (desired but not required):

  • Formal brewing education or certification (e.g., Siebel Institute, Institute of Brewing and Distilling).
  • Food safety certifications.


Location: 

Jackson, Wyoming. 


Compensation:
