The pay listed is the Salary range and rate for this position. This includes a monthly commission based on various criteria. Mileage reimbursement and an auto allowance are provided. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

West Coast Brands Distributing is looking for Route Sales account managers for the San Joaquin County area.

WCB is a beverage company that distributes various items (RTD, N/A, Spirits, Hard Seltzers, Beer, etc.). This position will have a base account list to run Monday through Friday with the expectations to grow the territory through cold calls and building relationships. The Route Sales account manager level 1 will be required to drive their personal vehicle to accounts, execute sales goals, and service WCB products in various locations within the accounts in their geographic territory.

  • Ability to take ownership of their designated route.
  • Beverage experience with category management understanding a plus.
  • Handling products of 50+ pounds.





Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Execute and close all sales calls for assigned routes
  • Maintain and sell incremental displays as needed
  • Ensure proper pricing
  • Accomplish timely and productive execution of sales plans and promotions at retail, securing trade support by communicating pricing and product promotions, coordinating use of product displays and point-of-sale materials, promotional events and other product promotion opportunities
  • Responsible for appropriate placement and effective utilization of point-of-sale material
  • Maintain compliance with Quality Control and product code date standards
  • Assess product rotation on shelf and in back room to maximize product freshness
  • Manage accurate inventory levels to minimize out-of-stock and out-of-code issues
  • Manage product breakage return
  • Plan and conduct regular sales calls to accounts
  • Communicate account activities to appropriate parties
  • Other projects or duties as assigned
  • Operating Handheld Device (iPad).
  • Excellent Customer service.
  • Building a professional relationship with various customers to satisfy company and accounts needs.
  • Establish a sound, professional relationship with key personnel.
  • Maintain a neat professional appearance.





Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5 years of sales-related experience.
  • Ability to plan and organize daily tasks.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to use company software.
  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
  • Preferred beverage and/or route sales experience.
  • Must have reliable automobile transportation, maintain an acceptable driving record and valid driver's license, and maintain auto insurance coverage at least to the minimum amount specified by the Company and state law







Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Due to the nature of our business, applicants should be able to handle tasks such as lifting 50+ lbs. packages, transporting products with a hand truck, and working in cold and hot environments.
