Position Overview
Wilding Brands is seeking an experienced Brewhouse Manager to lead the brewing team at Wilding Brands Canworks, our primary production facility. This role requires a strong leader with extensive technical brewing expertise, a commitment to quality and consistency, and the ability to drive operational efficiency.
The Brewhouse Manager will oversee day-to-day brewhouse operations, coordinate production schedules, manage brewing staff, and uphold our commitment to brewing excellence. If you're a proactive problem-solver with great communication skills and a passion for beer, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily brewhouse operations, including wort production, raw material management, fermentation, and CIP (clean-in-place) procedures.
- Maintain brewing ingredient inventory and work closely with procurement to ensure adequate raw material supplies.
- Train and mentor brewers and cross-train assistant brewers as needed.
- Develop, implement, and audit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to optimize quality and efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to quality control standards, working closely with the Director of Quality to troubleshoot any brewing-related issues.
- Foster a clean, safe, and organized work environment while upholding sanitation and safety protocols.
- Perform and coordinate routine maintenance and minor repairs on brewing equipment as needed.
- Hold the brewing team accountable for checklist completion, process accuracy, and facility cleanliness.
- Assist in the research and implementation of new brewing processes, techniques, and efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of professional brewing experience in a commercial brewery.
- Prior leadership experience supervising teams in a production setting.
- Formal brewing education or equivalent hands-on brewing experience.
- Familiarity with Ekos or similar brewery management software is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and commitment to time efficiency.
- Ability to lift and move 55 lbs+ repeatedly.
- Flexibility to occasionally work weekends and evenings based on production needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $28-$32 per hour, based on experience.
