Can Line Operator

Drayhorse Canning co-manufactures beverages at our facility in Port Richmond, Philadelphia, in a remarkable 1860s factory that has been refurbished. We are part of TH!RST Group, a vertically integrated beverage alcohol company building critical infrastructure in the space. Our team combines passionate, traditional production with groundbreaking technology and have operations in Philadelphia, New York, and Jalisco, Mexico. Drayhorse innovates on all levels to deliver exceptional canning and co-packing solutions for RTDs, canned cocktails, and wine. 

We have a 50 CPM PSA canning line with a variety of stabilization methods and have Distilling, Brewing and Winery licenses. We are focused on alcoholic beverages but we will produce non-alcohol beverages as well as warehousing and providing informational infrastructure. plan to expand to non-alc as well.   

Job Summary:

We are seeking exceptional talent that wants to build with us.Today, we need someone willing to take on the packaging side of the line and work with us to pull together our systems. We're looking for someone that is strategic, thoughtful and gets stuff done. The facility is relatively new so the role will be flexible and have a pathway to greater opportunity, including assisting with batching, cleaning and sanitizing equipment and managing the local warehouse. We have an ambitious vision for success, with a senior, experienced and aggressive team and we are looking for like minded people. The role will come with significant business training.

Responsibilities: 

• Adherence to safety standards, Master Sanitation Schedule, and all relevant rules and regulations. Making sure to always maintain safe working practices and complete all documentation in a timely manner.
• Finished goods handling and organization including proper labeling, storage, and transportation of goods, with attention to detail in batch rotation and lot numbers.
• Maintaining a clean work environment.  
• Canning and packaging line operation as needed.
• Loading and unloading trucks and assisting in warehouse as needed
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks

Prior experience in a beverage environment is required.
