Position Overview: Field Sales Representative
We are currently seeking our first ever Field Sales Representative to be an outspoken advocate of Grimm and sell our beer throughout the NYC market. The ultimate goal for this position is to increase sales for the most awarded brewery in NY State. The Field Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing On and Off premise customers and leveraging those relationships to increase sales and distribution of Grimm beer. The ideal candidate for this sales job is a bright, positive, and determined Grimm fan eager to learn and grow with our company long-term.
Essential Functions
- Make account calls to new and existing accounts on and off premise increasing our visibility and developing lasting relationships.
- Visit a minimum of 8-10 accounts a day.
- Maintain contact and relationships with key decision makers throughout your territory.
- Be an asset to distributor sales representatives and work to prioritize the Grimm brand. Help drive Grimm sales in our distributors’ account bases.
- Communicate daily with Grimm’s Sales Director and distributor sales teams.
- Actively work toward achieving quarterly goals and objectives.
- Utilize industry data to analyze and develop weekly and monthly sales strategies.
- Monitor product freshness in the trade and ensure quality standards are being upheld.
- Develop knowledge of assigned territory and adjust sales calls to maximize efforts and efficiency.
- Organize and participate in various account promotions, distributor ride withs, staff/account trainings, and other industry events as needed.
- Perform administrative tasks including but are not limited to creating expense reports, weekly call points, monthly calendars, and sales analysis.
- Organize weekly recap of account work for the distributor and Grimm Sales Director.
- Ability to learn new technologies as they become relevant is expected (ie. I-Dig, VIP, etc)
- Make account calls and conduct business within other markets as needed.
- Perform all other duties as expected.
Essential Skills and Abilities
- Competitive, brand loyal, and comfortable making cold calls.
- Flexible and willing to work nights and weekends. (The role of Field Sales Representative is not 9-5pm.)
- Passionate for the product and the industry.
- Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Strong public speaking, writing, and analytical skills.
- 80% of work is in the field. With overnight travel possible.
- 20% of work is Administrative.
Compensation: $65,000-$85,000 per year
