Hefeweizen brims with a refreshing sparkle and spicy notes of banana and cloves. Lots of wheat and a special yeast left in the finished beer create flavors and a mouthfeel as smooth as puffy clouds in Bavaria's famed blue-and-white skies. Only brewers appointed by the King were allowed to make it. And 500 years later—iYs still what summer tastes like in Germany.
