8/28/2016 -- Saranac Hop Harvest

Join us for our annual Hop Harvest on August 28, 2016!

Four generations of Wrobel hops have contributed to four generations of Matt brewing, and we are glad to continue the tradition. Every year we gather at the historic Wrobel Farms for a day of hop pickin’ and beer drinkin’.

We use our annual Hop Harvest not only to remind the public of New York’s rich hop history, but also as an opportunity to inform them about the state’s current hop farming and beer brewing initiatives. By educating our community, and continuing to support local farmers, we hope that hop farms in the state will continue to grow. Giving us the opportunity to brew with hops true to the area more often, and to support the communities we live in.

But the Hop Harvest is only a small part of the work being done. Along with several other breweries, councils, and local officials, we’re working hard to get the industry off the ground and to make NY home to great hop growers again.
