Assistant Brewer

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Brewer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the brewing process and a strong understanding of both the technical and creative aspects of beer production. As a Assistant Brewer, you will be responsible for assisting in the brewing process, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. This role requires mechanical knowledge and an understanding of food safety practices to produce high-quality products in compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

    •    Operate brewing equipment to produce beer according to established recipes and specifications.

    •    Sanitate all brewing equipment and maintain cleanliness in the brewing area to ensure compliance with food safety standards.

    •    Maintain cleanliness of brewhouse, walk-in cooler, and grain room

    •    Monitor fermentation processes and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.

    •    Package finished products efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

    •    Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot any mechanical issues that arise during production.

    •    Assist in production of Hop Water and Root Beer.

    •    Support recipe input, organization of malt inventory, and quality control.

    •    Maintain accurate records of production processes, including batch numbers, ingredients used, and quality control measures.

    •    Adhere to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) throughout all phases of production.

    •    All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

    •    Proven experience in brewing or a related field within the food industry is preferred.

    •    Strong mechanical knowledge to handle equipment maintenance and troubleshooting effectively.

    •    Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices is essential.

    •    Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.

    •    Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.

    •    Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to evolving industry standards.

    •    Age 21 or older

    •    Able to lift 55+ lbs and stand for up to 8 hours

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
