Production Supervisor

Maltwerks Inc. is a Craft Malthouse and Sprouting Manufacture in Detroit Lakes, MN. Our Mission is to produce Identity Preserved small-batch Malted and Sprouted Products to the Beverage and Food Industries, through use of modern equipment and process controls.

Job Summary:

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the malting production process. This role ensures efficient, high-quality production while maintaining safety standards and meeting production targets.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily production operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure product quality and consistency through rigorous testing and quality control measures.
• Train and supervise production staff.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and sales, to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of experience in production management, preferably in the malting or food processing industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of malting processes and equipment preferred
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
