If you have a passion for beer and experience navigating the complex and ever-changing waters of key account sales, this opportunity could be right for you. This role will focus on growing Foothills brand visibility and availability in key accounts across the brewery’s distribution footprint of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. This role will focus on developing Foothills’ business in key accounts—focusing primarily on the off-premise, (grocery, drug, convenience) but working with key chain retailers in the on-premise world as well. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge and creativity to the role of Key Accounts Manager. They will work closely with our wholesaler and retailer network, creating added value, and providing clear communication and direction for the promotion and execution of strategic sales goals.
Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain and cultivate buyer and distributor relationships through strategic selling and exemplary customer service.
- Effectively mobilize wholesaler partners and Foothills sales team to fulfill mandates, create and deploy programming, grow distribution and placements, and increase efficacy of Foothills products at retail.
- Maintain existing business, while aggressively hunting for new sales opportunities.
- Utilize effective verbal and written communication skills with wholesalers, retail partners and coworkers—including the ability to deliver impactful and persuasive presentations.
- Possess proficiency with beer / beverage industry knowledge and expert-level familiarity with Foothills’ products.
- Build and execute weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans to achieve annual market goals.
- Monitor wholesaler and competitive pricing activities and communicate changes & opportunities.
- Utilize Karma, Circana data sets, VIP, and other business tools to general and analyze brand performance, develop plans, and create future opportunities.
- Complete reports with timeliness and accuracy.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures, ensuring that all activities are conducted in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Other duties as required.
Position Qualifications:
Required
· Understanding of 3-tier system and exposure to outside retail sales and account management
· Knowledge of retail / large format sales structure, and business calendars / schedules.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to operate effectively in a collaborative team environment.
· Ability to juggle multiple projects under tight constraints and still meet all deadlines.
· Strong creative thinking skills with the ability to develop and execute innovative strategies that increase sales and market share.
· Focus on exceeding customer expectations.
· Experience with CRM & Sales Reporting Applications
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
· Strong analytic skills with the ability to turn data into action.
· Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
· Bachelor’s degree.
· Ability to travel as required.
· Valid drivers’ license
