Shift Brewer - 2nd Shift

DESTIHL Brewery is in search of an experienced brewer. We are looking for an individual with a team-orientated mentality, extreme attention to detail, and a passion for producing beer of the highest quality. At least one year of experience in the brewing industry is necessary for consideration.

• Perform all brewhouse duties including but not limited to milling, wort production, wort transfers
• CIP tanks and equipment
• Follow inventory procedures for all raw materials and inventory counts
• Keep physical and digital records of all brewing operations
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and communicate any equipment issues
• Collaborate with other brewers to tag-team big tasks and schedules

Qualifications, skills and abilities

• Formal brewing education, science background, or production brewing experience preferred
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision but also work well with a team & adapt to changing work priorities.
• Effectively managing one’s own time
• Excellent communication skills
• Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipes and SOPs
• Ability to lift and carry at least 55 pounds
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work safely around hazardous chemicals, high voltage, hot liquids, compressed gases and pressurized vessels
