Job Overview:


Looking for a qualified person to join our Maintenance team as a Maintenance Director. We are seeking someone to oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance. You will be responsible for managing staff, budgets, projects, and implementing preventative measures to keep facilities and equipment in optimal condition.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all maintenance and repair activities for facilities and equipment
  • Develop and implement maintenance SOP's
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all beverage production equipment as well as building systems, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical/control systems and their related components
  • Repair and maintain a variety of facilities systems, components and structures; repair building plumbing, low-voltage, and line voltage electric systems, door hardware, fire and safety protection equipment/systems, sprinkler systems, sensors and related hardware and software; constructs and maintains indoor/outdoor facilities, fans, lights and related; conducts structural inspections for safety
  • Repair and maintain all beverage production equipment and systems
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues affecting beverage manufacturing operations, including all production machinery to canning line fillers.
  • Maintain, adjust, clean, and perform minor repairs on equipment, including overhauling process pumps, automatic control valves, sensors, positioners, and actuators.
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate production equipment per good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures, regulating flow, speed, or temperature for quality output.
  • Troubleshoot problems, clear jams, and start/stop machinery, reporting major malfunctions to leadership.
  • Maintain HVAC systems across all facilities; cleans and inspects all equipment, completes filter changes, lubricates, services mechanical and refrigeration and/or cooling systems.
  • Perform service and preventative maintenance on small motorized equipment engines and on automotive vehicles; troubleshoots equipment problems and identifies when appropriate for external service provider to make repairs or perform warranty work
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors on projects requiring their assistance; participate in estimates and evaluations of project costs; monitor work of vendors or contractors; assist in the review of new construction or remodel plans
  • Lead and supervise maintenance staff; manage the maintenance team's time and resources effectively
  • Assign tasks and projects to maintenance team
  • Record, track, and close assigned work orders so that the team can optimize their time and productivity
  • Develop and manage the maintenance budget; analyze maintenance costs and identify areas of improvement
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment
  • Respond to emergencies to ensure that all facilities are protected and remain operational. Assist with tasks required in preparing to open facilities after a closure including snow and ice removal, systems and equipment checks, and start-up operations as assigned
  • Communicate with other department heads and management to ensure effective coordination of tasks/projects; communicate concerns, needs, and challenges of the maintenance staff to senior management
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental local regulations for restaurants and beverage manufacturing facilities
  • Address and resolve safety concerns promptly
  • Other duties as assigned


Desired Qualifications, Education, Skills:

  • 5 years experience performing routine and preventative maintenance (preferably in a restaurant/beverage manufacturing environment)
  • Certifications and specific knowledge will be a plus… including but not limited to: HVAC, Electrical, OSHA, auto repair, beverage manufacturing equipment repair and maintenance, etc...
  • Must be able to reach, bend, and stoop frequently, and lift up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and drawings
  • Basic computer literacy to include spreadsheet software for recordkeeping and tracking purposes
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Eye for detail
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills
  • Valid driver’s license
