About Topa Topa

Topa Topa Brewing Co. is an independent craft brewery based in Ventura, California. Since 2015 we’ve grown from a single taproom into five locations across the Central Coast with distribution throughout California, and we’ve done it by brewing beer we’re proud of and taking care of the people who make it. Our production facility on Colt Street is where everything we package starts, and we’re looking for someone to help us get it out the door right.

The Role

As Packaging and Cellar Coordinator, you’ll primarily support our canning and kegging operations, making sure beer is packaged safely, efficiently, and to our quality standards. This is a hands-on production role with a clear growth path: as you develop, you’ll take on cellar responsibilities and work closely with the packaging and brewing teams to hit production goals. It’s a good fit for someone who wants to learn the full production side of a brewery, not just one station.

What You’ll Do

  • Set up, operate, clean, and sanitize canning and kegging equipment
  • Monitor fill levels, package quality, date codes, and production quantities while minimizing waste
  • Assist with equipment maintenance, changeovers, packaging material prep, and storage and rotation of finished goods
  • Perform and document routine packaging and beer quality checks using brewery instruments, including the C-Box, and flag concerns promptly
  • As trained, monitor fermentation and brite tanks (gravities, pressures, temperatures, carbonation, dissolved oxygen) and assist with tank transfers, yeast handling, and dry hopping
  • Perform CIP, sanitation, and purging procedures on packaging equipment, tanks, and lines per established SOPs
  • As trained, assist with operation, cleaning, and troubleshooting of the centrifuge and inline carbonation equipment
  • Follow safety procedures and production SOPs, keep work areas clean and organized, and communicate clearly with packaging, brewing, and management

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in brewery packaging, cellar, or a similar production environment preferred
  • Familiarity with sanitary practices, production equipment, quality checks, and safe chemical handling
  • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and move materials, stand for extended periods, and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn
  • Team-oriented attitude and a commitment to quality, cleanliness, and safety

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay range: $20–$23/hour
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off
  • Beer and merch perks, plus discounts at all five taprooms
